Pretty much what they showed at the last Blizzcon, except brought to "life" in the game environment.  They WILL be useable by all Horde factions just like other racial mounts, provided you get the reputation.

But everyone would much rather ride one of my hand-crafted hawgs, right?  Right?!

At first I hated how different the storytelling was compared to the first game, but after a while I got into it and after having completed the game I really kind of enjoyed the change.  I still think it could have used a couple extra missions where you had full access to everything Terrans can build, but the research trees, armory/merc purchases, in-between stints on the ship really added quite a bit to the gameplay.  Well done, Blizz.

Up to 1100~ish. Just have one more tech master to go (starships). Most of the hard modes and about nine Feat of Strengths done. Still not touching multi-player or head to head modes.

Had a problem, today, with the achievement counter going in and out of service.

Been looking at a few of the Youtube vids on hard modes..........some I used, some I modified, some I went  'what the hell was I thinking?' Cheesy

The storyline has been about par from what I figured it would be. Wonder how they're going to put a twist on the other two expansions.

Getting the Blaze of Glory achievement was a paaaaain in the ass.  Well, if you're me, anyway.  If you're a micromanagement master I'm sure it's pie.  The rest of the game achievements haven't been too bad.  All I have left are the ones for the secret mission and getting all of the upgrades, I think.  Well, that and playing the game on Brutal, but I'm not sure I'm up for that...

 Amazingly, this is not all that uncommon for games to not cap FPS in menus....

The problem (IMO) is modern hardware not capable of running at 100%... What good is gear that is only as fast as it running 80% of capacity?  Do people read benchmarks and scale back  80%?  Nope Smiley.

I used to use Sacred 2 Menus as a torture test for OCing... as it did the same thing Smiley..

Usually Vsync will fix this (as the res will cap to your monitor refresh rate [usually 60 - 85hz]

Found this somewhere else and thought I'd share:

This week many PC gamers have sat down with a shiny new copy of StarCraft II to play. They’ve got a decent set of hardware, graphics settings as high as possible, and a solid Net connection for multiplayer gaming. One problem, while navigating through the menu screens getting ready to play, your machine overheats.

Don’t worry. This isn’t the fault of your rig not being powerful enough to even render menus properly, it’s a bug Blizzard already have a fix for.

Someone at Blizzard forgot to frame rate lock the menu screen in the game. So while in game you may be getting a smooth 60fps, when on the menus they can stress your hardware to its limits and your graphics card melts under the pressure.

To fix or prevent the overheating just open up the variables.txt file located here (assuming a default install):

Documents\StarCraft II\variables.txt

and then add the following two lines to it, save, and restart the game:

frameratecapglue=30
frameratecap=60

If you don’t play, but know someone who does, please pass this info on and save them the cost of a new graphics card.

Defeated!

By far, one of the most unforgiving encounters that RTC has ever faced. We are a long way from putting this monster on farm status, but with practice, patience, and timing we'll have it done.

I did the 5-game placement just for the hell of it (and the achievement) and ended up in platinum league.  I'm sure if I ever try to play a game in platinum league it'll be a hilarious failure.  I also beat all of the challenge missions...and I'll NEVER do several of them again.

I'm kind of "stuck" with my WoW chars.  Ben because the only thing I can do to gear him further is to run 25m ICC (or at least get 8k more rep for my last ring) and he's got plenty of money to start Cata with.  Zwarte has always been there just as my JC bitch and Debeest is just my "whee, I'm a shapechanger!" fun character that I'm not trying hard to gear up either.  I think I'm mostly in a holding pattern for either a beta invite or the pre-Cata events.  Although I should probably get my Alliance hunter up the last 3 levels to 80 so he'll be ready to look at the Alliance content in Cata.

Lost about 5-6 days on my pally. Did the bare minimum daily stuff with Zanz..............almost 900 achievement points in SC2 so far. Found the marine murloc in the 'secret mission'. Havn't tried Hard mode yet and I don't plan on multi-player battlenet.

when I played it in the beta the achievment stuff was pretty neat.  Not as funny or as cool as wow but still really neat.  But more bragging rights.
